Renee' graduated from Highland High school in Thornton Colorado in 1980. She attended Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado in 1989-1990 in the criminal justice program. In 1990 she moved to Atlanta Georgia and began taking classes for a legal assistant certificate at Brunnell College in Riverdale Georgia. After graduation from Brunnell in 1991, she went to work for Cash and Amos, a small general law practice in Stockbridge Georgia. In 1996, Renee' went to work for Swift, Currie, McGee & Hiers, a much larger insurance defense firm in mid town Atlanta. She remained with this firm until her return to Colorado in 2001 when she took a position with Wade, Ashe, Woods, Hill & Farley, an estate planning firm in the Cherry Creek area of Denver. Renee' joined the team at Kelly, Garnsey, Hubbell & Lass in 2003.
Dana M. Bassett is a legal secretary who has been with the firm for 16 years. She has worked primarily for the family law members and associates. Prior to joining Kelly Garnsey Hubbell + Lass LLC (formerly Kelly|Haglund|Garnsey + Kahn LLC) in 1991, Dana worked in Hawaii for both an estate planning and criminal attorney. She also worked in Denver between 1986 and 1990 for the law firms of White, McGeady & Weston, P.C. and Sayre, Ankele & Icenogle, P.C. which firms specialized in the area of Colorado Special Districts. She enjoys reading, crocheting, vacationing on the beaches, and spending time with her daughter.
Angie graduated from Moreno Valley High School in Moreno Valley, California in 1984. She moved to
Lakewood, Colorado in 1996 and began working for PCL Construction Services, a large general contractor in Denver, Colorado. In January of 2003 she took a receptionist position at Kelly, Garnsey, Hubbell & Lass, LLC. Prior to moving to Colorado, she worked for Benefits Communication Corporation, an Insurance company in Irvine, California.
Jennette Elmi joined the KGHL team in May 2008 as a family law paralegal. She began her career working at a law firm in Washington, D.C. specializing in both employment law and telecommunications law, and more recently for Cook, Cooper & Moses, LLC as a family law paralegal. Prior to her paralegal career, Jennette worked as a legislative assistant for a United States Congressman and assisted a consulting firm with political fundraising. She earned a B.A. in Speech Communication from George Mason University in 2000. Jennette moved to Colorado in May 2007 from Tunis, Tunisia where she was living with her husband and daughter, age 3, teaching English and trying to master French and Arabic. Jennette enjoys traveling, going to the movies, reading and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Sharon Fox came to Kelly Garnsey Hubbell + Lass LLC in August 2007, bringing with her over 25 years of legal experience with emphasis in litigation and family law. Sharon is a Colorado native and a graduate of Colorado State University.
Helen Guarneri joined the KGHL team in August, 2005 as family law paralegal. She acquired her paralegal certification in June 2000 and began her career working at the law firm of RRBL specializing in both family law and estate planning. Prior to her paralegal career, Helen held varying positions in both the insurance and business arenas. She earned a BA in economics from CUNY Queens College and a Masters in Social Work from DU in 1997. Even though Helen has East Coast roots (the accent does make an appearance now and then), Colorado will always be considered home for her and her three sons.
Jen Gray has been the office manager of Kelly Garnsey Hubbell + Lass LLC since November 2002. She also worked for KGHL from October 1992 through March 1998 as a Legal Secretary and Bookkeeper. From March 1998 until she returned to KGHL in November 2002, Jen was the office manager of Haddon Morgan Mueller Jordan Mackey & Foreman, P.C. Jen graduated summa cum laude from Regis University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and minor in Accounting. She enjoys herding cats, which is one of the many reasons she loves her position at KGHL.
Susan Miller has been a legal secretary at KGHL since February of 1998, and has been a legal secretary for 22 years. Prior to her legal secretary career, Susan worked as a secretary in banking and for an insurance company. Susan enjoys traveling to Idaho to visit her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Susan Raiser is a family law paralegal who has been with the firm for 9 years. Originally from New York, Susan grew up in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Evangel University in 1979, with a BS in special education/elementary education, summa cum laude. She moved to Denver in 1980 and obtained her paralegal certificate from Arapahoe Community College a few years later, with honors. She has been in the legal field for 24+ years. She worked for Miles & Peters, a firm focusing primarily on long-term health care, from 1983 to 1993. From 1993 to 1998 she worked for The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co., a fully-owned subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, following which she joined KGHL. Susan is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations and is also the co-chair of the Rocky Mountain Paralegal Association Family Law Section. Susan enjoys hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and reading. She has one daughter, age 22.
